Our Story

How Deedhaven came to be

Deedhaven was established in Rayong after its founders noticed a pattern that appears in many families: boxes of paperwork that no one has properly sorted, title deeds filed away in the wrong folder, household inventories that were last updated years ago. Not through carelessness — simply because organising records of this kind takes time, patience, and a clear system, and most households are occupied with other things.

The name draws on the idea of a haven — a place of care and shelter — applied to documents and records. We felt there was a practical need for a service that treated the task with the same attentiveness a well-run estate office would bring, without requiring households to navigate a large firm or a formal engagement.

Based in Mueang Rayong, we serve households throughout the Eastern Seaboard region, a part of Thailand where a mix of Thai families, long-term expatriate residents, and international property owners has created a genuine need for document support that works across languages and filing traditions.

Our mission is a straightforward one: to leave every household we work with in a position where their records are clear, accessible, and sensibly maintained — whether that means a single well-labelled archive box or an ongoing arrangement that keeps things current year by year.

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to

Discretion with household papers

We treat every document we handle with the same care we would give our own. Nothing is copied, photographed, or retained beyond the scope of the engagement.

Clear scope before we begin

Each engagement starts with a short written summary of what we plan to do, how long it will take, and what the end result will look like. No surprises in scope or cost.

Knowledge transfer included

We explain the system as we build it so that any member of your household can maintain it independently. The point is a lasting result, not an ongoing dependency.

Bilingual working practice

Labels, indexes, and reference guides can be produced in English, Thai, or both — depending on who will be using them. We do not translate legal text, but we do make indexes readable for all users.

Data handling responsibility

Any personal information shared with us for scheduling or correspondence purposes is held only for that purpose and is not passed to third parties.

Written summaries after each visit

After every working session, we send a brief summary note of what was completed and what, if anything, remains. This gives you a running record of work done.

Document organisation for households in Eastern Thailand

Deedhaven works with a range of households across the Rayong and Eastern Seaboard region of Thailand. Our clients include Thai families consolidating years of property and estate papers, long-term foreign residents sorting records that span more than one country, and households preparing their documents ahead of a significant life transition.

Estate organisation in Thailand carries particular considerations. Land title documents, Chanote papers, household registration books, condo title certificates, and lease agreements each have their own format and place in a well-kept archive. Our approach acknowledges these specifics and builds filing systems around them — not around a generic model imported from elsewhere.

A household that has gone through our Document Organisation Help engagement typically finishes with a set of clearly labelled physical folders, a printed master index, and a simple review schedule. Those who choose the Records Maintenance Companion have the added reassurance of regular visits that keep everything current without requiring the household to remember when to act.

The Safekeeping Information Talks are designed for households that want to manage their own archives but would benefit from a structured introduction to the task — a practical session covering naming conventions, retention schedules, and the categories of documents most likely to be needed at short notice.
